Apple plans liquid glass redesign for next macOS

Apple will introduce a slight redesign to its Liquid Glass interface in the upcoming macOS 27 to address readability complaints and display inconsistencies.

The changes target issues with text legibility in lists and other text-heavy areas, along with uneven appearances across apps. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the redesign will fix shadows and transparency quirks that arose because Liquid Glass was developed primarily for OLED screens while most current Macs use LCD panels.
