BIK Karlskoga routs Nybro 7-0 in playoff game three

BIK Karlskoga defeated Nybro 7-0 in game three of their HockeyAllsvenskan playoff quarterfinal series, taking a strong position toward the semifinals. The visitors held Nybro scoreless after a tied first period, exploding for four goals in the second. BIK coach Dennis Hall praised his team's focus and goaltending depth.

Nybro hosted BIK Karlskoga in game three, having pressured the visitors in the first two matches. The score was 0-0 after the first period, but BIK pulled ahead decisively in the second. Henrik Björklund scored early on a power play, followed quickly by Alexander Ljungkrantz for 0-2. Nybro coach Hampus Sylvegård called a timeout, but BIK added more: an own goal off Fredrik Granberg's skate made it 0-3, and Tim Barkemo scored 0-4 just over a minute later. Nybro goaltender Tex Williamsson was pulled after allowing four goals on 12 shots, with the game ending 0-7 in BIK's favor. Lars Volden earned the shutout for BIK, replacing Olof Lindbom who had won the prior games. Hall said post-match to TV4, “Sättet vi fortsätter att hålla fokus på uppgiften är jag jättenöjd med,” and noted the luxury of two strong goalies: “Det är en angenäm situation med två starka målvakter.” On Barkemo, who contributed three points, Hall added, “Han har tagit jättekliv hela säsongen. BIK can clinch the series on Sunday.
