Bomb scare halts Delhi-Patna Tejas Rajdhani Express for 31 minutes

The Tejas Rajdhani Express train from Delhi to Patna was halted for 31 minutes in Aligarh on Saturday following a bomb threat. Officials evacuated passengers and conducted a thorough search, but found nothing suspicious. The train was cleared and allowed to proceed after security checks.

On Saturday, the Tejas Rajdhani Express traveling from Delhi to Patna was stopped at Aligarh railway station after receiving a bomb threat alert. Gulzar Singh, commanding officer of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Aligarh, told ANI, “The Tejas Rajdhani train was going from Delhi to Patna. We received information from Delhi Control about a bomb threat on board.”

Upon receiving the alert, the RPF's Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team, local police, Station House Officer, civil authorities, dog scouts, BDS team, fire brigade, and divisional officers thoroughly inspected the train. Singh added, “The train was stopped for 31 minutes to complete security clearance. The train has now been given clearance.”

The search yielded no suspicious items, providing relief to passengers. This incident underscores the importance of security protocols in rail travel. Earlier this month, a similar hoax bomb threat targeted the Kashi Express at Mau railway junction in Uttar Pradesh, and authorities are working to identify the caller.
