Thousands of Brazilian supporters have taken over Times Square in New York with singing and dancing hours before the match against Morocco.

Brazil's World Cup opener against Morocco, scheduled for 7pm Brasília time today at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, prompted widespread fan gatherings.

Videos shared on X show thousands of Brazilians singing, dancing and filling the streets of Times Square with flags and musical instruments.

A Saveiro equipped with loudspeakers drove through the area, drawing attention and online comments. Moroccan supporters were also present and shared the space with Brazilians.

Fans in India and Bangladesh likewise celebrated in the streets, organizing motorcycle parades and parties in support of the team.
