Bridgestone Golf has announced its new 2026 Tour B series of golf balls, featuring innovative VeloSurge technology for enhanced distance and performance. The lineup includes models tailored to different swing speeds and has already seen success in recent professional wins. Tiger Woods and other pros endorse the balls, which become available later this month.

Bridgestone Golf revealed its 2026 Tour B golf ball lineup on Tuesday, introducing VeloSurge core-mantle integration technology. This innovation, developed through the VS Proto Project, promises 2.3 mph more ball speed and 8.7 yards of additional distance compared to previous models, based on testing with amateurs and pros.

The technology creates a seamless synergy between the denser mantle and core, increasing the ball's moment of inertia for faster speeds without compromising spin or control. Over four years, engineers tested more than 240 prototypes using 20 material formulations, resulting in four models: Tour B X and XS for swing speeds over 105 mph, and Tour B RX and RXS for those under 105 mph.

Tiger Woods, a long-time Bridgestone user, praised the new balls in a press release: “I am always looking for more pop off the tee, and this new ball absolutely delivers. I’ve trusted Bridgestone for more than 25 years, and this one takes performance to a whole new level.” Woods, along with Chris Gotterup, Matt Kuchar, and Kurt Kitayama, will play the firmest Tour B X model.

The balls have already proven victorious. Matt Kuchar used the VS Proto Black (Tour B X) to win the PNC Championship with his son in December 2025. Gotterup employed the prototype with MindSet markings to claim the Sony Open in Hawaii, shooting a final-round 64 for a two-stroke win and leading the field in strokes gained off-the-tee with drives averaging nearly 320 yards.

Bridgestone President Dan Murphy highlighted the development effort: “It took a tremendous amount of work to develop VeloSurge Technology and the new family of TOUR B golf balls. The results speak for themselves, and I’m confident saying this is undeniably the most advanced iteration of the TOUR B golf ball we’ve ever produced.”

All models include optional MindSet technology, developed by Jason Day and coach Jason Goldsmith to aid focus. The balls arrive at retail on January 30 for $54.99 per dozen, ahead of the PGA Merchandise Show's Demo Day.

Reactions on X to Bridgestone's 2026 Tour B golf ball lineup are predominantly positive, emphasizing VeloSurge technology for distance gains and Chris Gotterup's Sony Open win using the prototype. Golf journalists and enthusiasts highlight Tiger Woods' endorsement and testing results showing increased ball speeds. Some note the company's 'hefty claims' about performance.
