Carmen Geiss fears heart attack for husband amid yacht renovation woes

Carmen Geiss expressed deep concern for her husband Robert's health during a heated visit to their luxury yacht under renovation. Frustrations boiled over into arguments with workers and designers as delays persisted into the ninth month. The couple considered relocating the project to Dubai or Turkey to expedite progress.

The renovation of Carmen and Robert Geiss's luxury yacht, the "Indigo Star," has dragged on for months without significant advancement, as depicted in a recent episode of RTL2's "Die Geissens." During a site visit, the couple inspected the ongoing work, where dozens of workers were active, yet much of the vessel remained in disarray.

Carmen Geiss, aged 60, identified several quality issues, including poorly glued steps with sharp edges that posed injury risks. "That's not possible here," she stated, adding, "it's really dangerous. When they clean here, there's blood everywhere." She also criticized amateurish silicone applications on ceilings and unsatisfactory bathroom wallpaper, despite her personal selection of the interior designer. "This is not a cheap boat - we have to do it differently," she emphasized.

Robert Geiss voiced skepticism about the designer's expertise, questioning, "Has she ever set up a boat before?" He highlighted the high costs and potential for breakdowns in harsh conditions: "The woman is installing things here for an insane amount of money that are already broken afterwards. What will it look like when we're out in the heat for weeks on the boat?"

Tensions escalated when Carmen confronted workers, demanding, "You don't want fake money, you want real money and I want decent work, not botched work." Robert praised her assertiveness: "Carmen's got her pants on today. A really clear statement. Respect!" However, he grew agitated after a worker challenged him, retorting, "You're doing something wrong, you're not professional, sorry. Not one room is finished. The problem is that no one understands us and everything is going wrong."

Carmen grew worried about Robert's rising stress, warning, "If Robert carries on like this, he'll have a heart attack." A second interior designer requested additional time, prompting Robert to declare, "We're going into the ninth month now with the renovation. At some point it has to stop. Otherwise I'll have to stop, there's no point."

Their daughter Davina, visiting Dubai with sister Shania, anticipated drastic measures: "Now the time has come: Dad is pulling the plug on the 'Indigo Star' and sinking it into the sea." Carmen lamented the situation: "I could cry. Robert's patience is wearing thin and I only have a half-renovated boat ... Disaster!"

Ultimately, Robert proposed moving the yacht to a Dubai shipyard for round-the-clock work, with Turkey as a backup option. Davina welcomed the potential return to Europe.
