The Central Board of Secondary Education has stated that its on-screen marking portal was not compromised. The board addressed recent social media claims and provided updates on post-result services for Class 12 students.
The Central Board of Secondary Education issued a statement on Tuesday clarifying that the on-screen marking portal used for evaluation had neither been compromised nor contained the vulnerabilities mentioned in a social media post. The board said the flagged URL was a testing site with sample data for internal purposes and not the actual evaluation system.
CBSE reported receiving 4,04,319 applications for scanned copies of 11,31,961 answer books. It has furnished 8,98,214 digitally so far, with pending requests expected to be completed by Thursday.
The board noted that its post-result services portal had vulnerabilities that are being addressed. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met with four public sector banks to improve the payment gateway, including measures for real-time monitoring and automatic refunds.
A parliamentary standing committee is scheduled to discuss the on-screen marking system and related issues at a meeting on June 2.
