Daisy Edgar-Jones to star in 'Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow' adaptation

Daisy Edgar-Jones will headline Paramount's film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's best-selling novel 'Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow.' She is set to play Sadie Green, a brilliant game designer, in the story of two friends who become creative partners in the video game industry. Oscar winner Siân Heder is directing the project.

Paramount is developing a film adaptation of Gabrielle Zevin's 2022 novel 'Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow,' with Daisy Edgar-Jones attached to star as Sadie Green. The book, which has sold over four million copies worldwide in 40 foreign language territories, follows Sadie and her collaborator Sam Masur, along with Sam's roommate Marx Watanabe, as they establish a video game studio named Unfair Games. The narrative spans several decades, tracing their lives from childhood and college intersections to their professional partnership in the gaming business. The roles of Sam and Marx remain uncast.

Siân Heder, who won an Oscar for directing 'CODA,' is helming the project and writing the screenplay, building on drafts by Mark Bomback and Zevin. Production is overseen by Temple Hill's Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and Isaac Klausner, with Zevin serving as an executive producer.

The novel has received acclaim, including recognition as one of the 100 best books of the 21st century by the New York Times and one of the best fiction books of the last 30 years by the Los Angeles Times.

Edgar-Jones rose to prominence with her role opposite Paul Mescal in the 2020 limited series 'Normal People,' earning nominations for a British Academy Television Award and a Golden Globe Award. She has since appeared in films such as 2022's 'Where the Crawdads Sing' and 2024's 'Twisters,' as well as the FX/Hulu miniseries 'Under the Banner of Heaven' in 2022, which brought another Golden Globe nomination. Her additional film credits include 'On Swift Horses' and 'Fresh.' On stage, she featured in the 2024 West End revival of Tennessee Williams' 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' alongside Kingsley Ben-Adir.

Upcoming projects for Edgar-Jones include a new adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Sense and Sensibility' directed by Georgia Oakley, set for release by Focus Features this fall. She will also star in Netflix's 'Here Comes the Flood' with Denzel Washington and Robert Pattinson, directed by Fernando Meirelles, and in the thriller 'A Place in Hell' opposite Michelle Williams and Andrew Scott, directed by Chloe Dumont.
