Damon Lindelof appeared on the May 18 episode of The Ringer’s House of R podcast. He stated that studio executives hired him after he described his vision for a new Star Wars story but later dismissed him from the project. Lindelof said the concept aimed to explore tensions between nostalgia and revision within the franchise, likening it to a Protestant Reformation inside Star Wars.
