The Africa Eco Race, known for its emphasis on the spirit of original adventure riding, will hold its 18th edition from January 24 to February 6, 2027. The route begins in Tangier, Morocco, and proceeds through the north and west of Africa, including Mauritania, before concluding in Dakar, Senegal.
Pre-registrations for the event open on March 15 at 12:00 PM French time, with a limited number of entries available in categories such as motorbike, car, SSV, truck, historic, and raid. Entry fees and details on updates to pricing and race services will be published at that time.
The event caters to various motorcycle categories, including rally 450 bikes, adapted enduro bikes equipped with navigation, and adventure bikes. It focuses on traversing savannahs, deserts, and dunes rather than pure speed competition.
The previous 2025 edition proved successful, with Yamaha’s official Tenere team dominating the stages. Kevin Gallas emerged as the winner, ahead of Gautier Paulin, both achieving their first victories in the Africa Eco Race. More details are available on the official website, www.africarace.com.
