Komisi X DPR RI approved the naturalization process for two players of descent, Mitchell Lee Baker and Luke Anthony Vickery, in a working meeting in Jakarta on Monday, June 15, 2026.

The approval was given in a meeting chaired by Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI Lalu Hadrian Irfani and attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports as well as PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir.

Erick Thohir expressed gratitude for the support. "We from PSSI express our deepest gratitude for the support, input, and trust that has always been given by the leadership and members of Commission X DPR RI," he said.

Lalu Hadrian Irfani emphasized that naturalization must be selective. "Commission X DPR RI decided to approve the recommendation for Indonesian citizenship in the name of Mr. Mitchell Lee Baker and Mr. Luke Anthony Vickery," he said.

Erick added that the two players are expected to bring experience and quality to strengthen the national team and professional league.
