Echo and the Bunnymen will release their first album in 12 years on September 18. The record, titled Apples for Isaac, includes contributions from the late drummer Clem Burke.
The English rock band shared details of the upcoming LP along with an animated video for the lead single Brussels Is Haunted. The album marks their first full-length release since Meteorites in 2014.
Band members noted that Burke was integral to the project and passed away during its completion. In a statement the group wrote that the drummer was a longtime friend of singer Ian McCulloch.
McCulloch discussed the extended gap between albums in a recent Mojo interview. He cited the impact of COVID along with a desire for lyrics to feel meaningful or cryptically important.
The full tracklist for Apples for Isaac has also been revealed, featuring eleven songs including Take Me By The Hand, Unstoppable Force and We Prayed In The Dark.
