Ecuador scored the opening goal against Chile in the 37th minute at Estadio Nacional in the CONMEBOL Women's Nations League. Justine Cuadra's goal came from an error by goalkeeper Tiane Endler.
The match between Chile's women's team and Ecuador was part of the eighth round of the tournament. Chile aimed to secure a spot in the repechage for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil. At the 37-minute mark Tiane Endler moved forward with the ball and passed to Nayadet López Opazo. Justine Cuadra intercepted and scored for the 1-0 lead. At the end of the first half the score stood at Chile 0-1 Ecuador. The team coached by Luis Mena needs the win to reach 13 points.
