El Corte Inglés approves record dividend of 250 million euros

El Corte Inglés held its annual shareholders' meeting this Friday in Madrid, presided for the first time by Cristina Álvarez, and approved a dividend of around 250 million euros.

The company thus surpassed the 225 million euros distributed the previous year. Consolidated net profit reached 628 million euros in 2025, while recurrent profit stood at 522 million.

Cristina Álvarez announced that the board of directors will ratify in September an update to the strategic plan, with increased investments focused on business growth, logistics and Artificial Intelligence to personalize the customer experience.

Javier Catena was confirmed as chief executive officer. Revenue reached 14.988 billion euros, up 1.4 percent, and net financial debt fell by 148 million euros.
