Eighteen-year-old MoDo forward Elton Hermansson has signed his first NHL contract with the Los Angeles Kings. The three-year entry-level deal runs through the 2028/29 season.
Hermansson was selected by the Kings with the 19th overall pick in this summer's NHL Draft. The club has confirmed he will not join their training camp and will instead continue playing for MoDo in the HockeyAllsvenskan during the 2026/27 season.
In his breakout season with MoDo, Hermansson recorded 21 points, including 11 goals and 10 assists, across 38 regular-season games. He also played a key role for Sweden's junior team at the U18 World Championship, where he led the tournament in scoring with 12 points in seven games as Småkronorna claimed gold.
