Enma López and Reyes Maroto to contest PSOE Madrid primaries

Enma López and Reyes Maroto have gathered the required endorsements for the PSOE primaries to Madrid City Hall. Óscar López will be the regional candidate against Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

The two candidates submitted the required endorsements on Saturday. Maroto obtained between 1,376 and 1,418 endorsements, while López gathered between 1,028 and 1,080. Both exceeded the minimum of 823 endorsements.

The municipal primaries will be held on 19 July. López has appealed to excitement to reach the neighborhoods, while Maroto defends continuity of the project started in 2023.

Meanwhile, Óscar López surpassed the maximum of 2,092 endorsements and will be the PSOE candidate for the Community of Madrid. His rival, Silvia López Quivira, did not reach the required threshold.
