Ethiopia to share experiences with Africans

Ethiopia's Government Communication Service Minister Desta Tesfahu Gobezie stated that the country has numerous experiences to offer Africans. Two summits—the 39th African Union Heads of State Summit and the African Union Parliaments Summit—will occur from Katit 6 to 8, 2018 E.C. Ethiopia has increased its forest coverage from 17% to 23% over the past seven years through the Green Legacy initiative, demonstrating commitment to long-term growth, according to the minister. The country utilizes hydroelectric, wind, and solar power sources to expand energy access and export surplus to neighboring nations. Introducing electric vehicles in transportation further illustrates this practical dedication.

Urban corridor and green city developments, initiated in Addis Ababa, are expanding to other cities to promote sustainability and reduce urban heat impacts. By banning single-use plastics to establish plastic-free zones, Ethiopia highlights environmental stewardship. Ongoing efforts include modern techniques to efficiently utilize water resources.
