Federal police boosts capacity with latest technology

Ethiopia's Federal Police has strengthened its capabilities by adopting world-class technology, Commissioner General Demelash Ge/Michael said.

The statement came during celebrations marking the 117th Ethiopian Police Day at the Ethiopian Police University.

The commissioner noted that police play a key role in securing national borders and enabling citizens to move freely. He added that the institution holds a leading position in Africa for crime prevention and upholding the rule of law.

He highlighted the rollout of a Digital Command Center, Citizens Participation App, Drone Force and Digital Communication systems. These tools allow rapid analysis of cyber crimes and financial fraud cases.
