Felipe Loyola, former Huachipato player, bid farewell to Independiente de Avellaneda after a year and a half with the Argentine club. The transfer to Pisa was confirmed during the team's preseason in Uruguay, where the Chilean spoke to local press. "Contento por este pasito. Es algo que cuando decidí venir a Independiente, vine con el objetivo, como jugador, de seguir creciendo. Fue un año y medio hermoso, viví muchas cosas espectaculares", Loyola said.
Regarding his move to Italian football, the 28-year-old midfielder stated: "Voy con muchas ganas, hambre de mostrar el jugador que soy. Es un paso para buscar algo mejor". Pisa is in a tough spot in Serie A, with just one win in 20 matches and facing relegation. Loyola sees it as a challenge: "Es una liga top. Me pilla con muchas ganas de competir, equipararme con los mejores y con hambre de ayudar al equipo".
The player recalled his step-by-step career, from Chile's Third Division to Primera, and emphasized: "Es una oportunidad hermosa, son sueños de niño jugar en esos estadios". One of his favorite moments at Independiente was the stadium chanting "Chileno, chileno". He also spoke with Chile's national team coach Gustavo Quinteros, who had him in mind for 2026 but understood his personal decision. His teammates congratulated him, and Loyola leaves Independiente with open doors.
