A man who previously worked at a school in Falu Municipality has been charged with multiple cases of rape against a child. The crimes are alleged to have occurred between 2023 and 2026 and are not linked to the school.
The man was detained at the end of April 2026 and was then suspended from his position in Falu Municipality's school operations. The indictment includes five cases of rape against a child and one case of gross sexual abuse against a child.
Principal Gustaf Malmberg confirmed in early June that the crimes occurred outside working hours. He emphasized that there is no connection to school activities.
The suspect denies the crimes. The investigation has cited witnesses and DNA evidence according to reports.
