Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and Deputy Minister of UMKM Helvi Moraza affirmed the government's commitment to strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises.
Purbaya said the government has lowered micro business loan interest rates from 22 percent to 8 percent following President Prabowo's directive. The measure aims to sustain economic growth and social political stability so the rupiah can strengthen gradually.
Helvi Moraza stressed the need to reinforce PLUT KUMKM centers in regions such as Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. These integrated service hubs offer consultation, training, mentoring, financing access and marketing support for business operators.
Both officials highlighted collaboration between central and local governments along with other stakeholders to build a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem.
