Gran Turismo 7 update 1.67 arrives next week with three new cars

Gran Turismo 7 is set to receive its first update of 2026 on January 29, introducing three new performance vehicles. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed the content via social media, marking a return to routine additions after larger patches late last year. The update features the Hyundai Elantra N TCR, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, and Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Gran Turismo 7's update 1.67 will launch on Thursday, January 29, 2026, bringing three new cars to the racing simulation. Kazunori Yamauchi, the game's creator, announced the details in a social media post on January 24, 2026, teasing the vehicles under covers—a departure from recent shadowed previews.

The Hyundai Elantra N TCR leads the additions as the first true TCR car in a Gran Turismo title, despite the category's popularity since 2015. Hyundai confirmed its inclusion during the 2025 Gran Turismo World Finals in Fukuoka. With class rules limiting it to 350hp and 1,250kg, it is expected to join the Gr.4 class, the first new entry since the Mazda 3 in September 2023's 1.38 update.

Next is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, debuting as the first Chinese car in the series. Announced in June 2025, this electric sedan from the mobile giant boasts 1,525hp via a triple-motor setup, accelerating from 0-60mph in under two seconds and reaching 217mph. It holds a production four-door lap record of 7:04.957 at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Rounding out the trio is the Porsche 911 GT3 R, based on the 992-generation 911. This Gr.3 racer replaces the mid-engined RSR as Porsche's offering, arriving just before the end of 2026 qualifiers. A 992 GT3 R example appeared at the recent World Finals in a special Dunlop livery designed by Polyphony Digital.

This follows the major Spec III update in early December 2025 and the five-car 1.63 patch on September 1, 2025. Additional details, such as new World Circuit races tied to the cars and possible engine swaps or Scapes, are expected around January 28. No new tracks are anticipated soon after recent additions.
