Huma Qureshi cheers female films amid Alpha clash

Huma Qureshi downplayed any rivalry with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha after both films hit theaters on the same Friday.

The actor told ANI she sees no competition. “I don't look at Alpha from a sense of being a competition,” Qureshi said. “I think there is space for all kinds of films to be made and to be viewed.”

Her independently produced Baby Do Die Do stars Qureshi as a deaf and mute assassin. The film is directed by Nachiket Samant and backed by her production house with Saqib Saleem.

Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail and produced by Yash Raj Films, features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as assassins. Qureshi called the double release of female-led projects “amazing” and offered support to the other cast.

She added she will cheer for “my girlfriends” alongside her own movie.
