Intelligence professionals urged to protect national interests

Ambassador Redwan Hussien, director general of the National Intelligence and Security Service, stated that intelligence professionals should focus on protecting national interests. The Ethiopian Intelligence Authority, in collaboration with Addis Ababa University, has trained various intelligence experts on national interests, professional conduct, policies, and strategies.

The training event took place in Addis Ababa on Megabit 12, 2018 (Fana Media Corporation calendar). Ambassador Redwan Hussien stated during the occasion, 'The only way to prevent the country from disintegrating is by maintaining unity.' He highlighted the importance of strengthening national unity alongside protecting national interests, noting that all ethnic groups should contribute to national interests. He emphasized the high value of intelligence discussions. Haymanot Zeleke, chief director of the Ethiopian Intelligence Authority, confirmed through them that trainees from the authority's leadership training center had received the training. The trainees committed to applying knowledge gained from various field experts into practice to serve national interests. This training focused on national interests, professional conduct, policies, and strategies.
