The appearance marks another high-profile TV spot for Tweedy, following earlier visits this year to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and The Daily Show. Currently, Tweedy is wrapping up his solo North American tour, set to end on April 9 in Bozeman, Montana. Shortly after, Wilco will embark on a summer tour supported by Yo La Tengo and Hovvdy. The band has additional festival commitments lined up. They will headline their annual Solid Sound Festival in Massachusetts in June, sharing the bill with the Breeders, Gang of Four, and Billy Bragg. Wilco will also play three Texas dates in July as part of Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival, alongside performers including Sheryl Crow, Margo Price, and Nelson himself. These announcements highlight a busy schedule for Tweedy and Wilco in the coming months.
