Indonesia coach John Herdman said the list of 26 players for the AFF Cup 2026 will be announced on Monday or Tuesday next week.
Herdman made the statement after the training camp in Bali that began on July 5 2026. Fifty players are taking part in a two-phase program that focuses first on physical fitness.
Phase one ends on July 13 before evaluations take place. Players who advance will play an internal match and enter phase two.
Herdman also named Vietnam as the strongest team in the tournament. He praised their early preparation and consistent core group.
Former coach Indra Sjafri praised Herdman for calling young players such as Matthew Baker as part of a long-term vision.
