Jordan Walker defeated Kyle Schwarber 12-11 in the finals to win the 2026 T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday night at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The Cardinals outfielder became the first player from his franchise to claim the title.
Walker trailed by three home runs with one swing left in the final round. He then hit four consecutive home runs, including three in the bonus period under the new format, to secure the victory in front of a partisan crowd.
Schwarber, the hometown Phillies designated hitter and MLB home run leader, hit 11 home runs in the finals. He received strong support from the 43,863 fans, who booed Walker throughout the night.
"I was once told you don’t boo nobody," Walker said after receiving the trophy. "So it feels pretty good." Walker earned $1 million and a Liberty Bell-themed chain presented by 2006 champion Ryan Howard.
The event served as a prelude to Tuesday's All-Star Game. Walker advanced by tying for the first-round lead with 13 home runs.
