German rider Julia Krajewski topped the CCI4*-S dressage at the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials on 19 June. She scored 22.9 aboard Uelzener’s Nickel to head a German one-two-three. Cross-country is scheduled for 20 June.
Krajewski described the test as perfect. She said Nickel loves the venue and performed with ease and confidence. The 12-year-old gelding earned high marks for harmony and workmanlike attitude.
Malin Hansen-Hotopp sits second on 27 aboard Carlitos Quidditch K. Krajewski’s second ride, Tullabeg Platinum, lies third just 0.2 penalties behind. The class serves as a key selection trial for the German team ahead of the World Championships.
British-based New Zealander Samantha Lissington placed fifth on Lucas Stone and sixth on Delarado. She switched Delarado from the CCI5* to focus on selection for Aachen. Cross-country begins today with time expected to prove influential.
