Kimi Antonelli tops F1 Belgian GP FP2 ahead of Norris

Kimi Antonelli led Formula 1's second practice session at the Belgian Grand Prix with a lap of 1m45.944s. Lando Norris finished second, 0.190s behind, in a session interrupted by two red flags.

Antonelli, driving for Mercedes, set his benchmark time on soft tyres during the qualifying simulations portion of the session at Spa-Francorchamps. His lap remained unbeaten despite later efforts from the field on the C4 compound.

The session featured two red flags. The first was called to clear gravel at Stavelot, while the second came after Pierre Gasly crashed heavily at Les Fagnes in the final 15 minutes, damaging his Alpine's rear wing.

Max Verstappen placed third for Red Bull with a 1m46.416s, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in fourth. Isack Hadjar was fifth but faces a grid penalty for Sunday's race due to powertrain changes.

Oscar Piastri returned after missing early running for repairs, while Charles Leclerc ended 11th after a lap deletion for track limits.
