The three-day Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show kicks off on Friday, January 30, 2026, at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, blending high-level equestrian competition with lifestyle and entertainment elements. Elite five-star show jumping will see top riders from more than 30 countries, including Britain's John Whitaker and France's Simon Delestre, challenging Denmark's Zascha Nygaard, who returns to defend her grand prix title. Local competitors Jacqueline Lai and Clarissa Lyra will represent Hong Kong in the arena over the weekend, culminating on February 1. For the first time, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Asian Youth Challenge highlights emerging junior riders from the region, mentored by prominent jockeys such as Zac Purton and Vincent Ho. Beyond the main competitions, the program diversifies with the debut Hong Kong Dog Agility display, supported by The Royal Kennel Club, showcasing canine performances. The popular Shetland Pony Grand National returns, featuring eight miniature ponies raced by jockeys aged eight to 14 around a compact track. Adding to the festivities, eight retired racehorses from the Hong Kong Jockey Club's RESTART scheme will perform in the Musical Ride, emphasizing equine welfare and second careers. Music star Ian Chan from MIRROR headlines the grand finale on the evening of February 1, with a fan meet-and-greet at the Jockey Club's exhibition booth. The Hong Kong Jockey Club provides comprehensive support, including transport, stable management, and veterinary care for around 60 competition horses. Outside the arena, the Lifestyle Shopping Village offers equestrian gear, fashion, accessories, interiors, wine, and gourmet stalls.
