MAAC announces indoor track and field all-academic teams

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has released its 2025-26 all-academic teams for men's and women's indoor track and field. A total of 57 student-athletes earned the honors, with Marist University's women's team placing second in the conference with 29 recipients and the men's team also second with 28. Eligibility requires completing two semesters at the institution and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.

The announcement came on Friday from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), recognizing academic excellence among indoor track and field athletes for the 2025-26 season. Based in Poughkeepsie, New York, Marist University Athletics highlighted the achievement, noting that 57 student-athletes across the conference received the All-Academic honors.

Marist's women's indoor track and field team secured second place in the conference with 29 honorees, while the men's team also finished second with 28 recipients. This recognition underscores the balance of athletic and academic performance in the program.

To qualify for the MAAC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 or above. The honors celebrate those who meet these standards during the indoor season.

Among the Marist honorees mentioned are Isabella Cipolla, Christina Diorio, Sierra Fisher, Julia Kropo, Grace LaCapra, Madison LaCreta, Emily Litke, Breelyn McNamara, Parker O’Brien, and Mia Priore, primarily from the women's team. This accolade reflects the conference's commitment to supporting well-rounded student-athletes in the sport.
