Democracy for the Citizens’ Party Deputy Party Leader Cleophas Malala has denied claims of a rift with party leader Rigathi Gachagua. He spoke during a burial ceremony in Kakamega.
Malala said the claims were propaganda sponsored by the Ruto administration to weaken the opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election. “Gachagua and I are very much united,” Malala said. He stressed there were no disagreements with his party leader. Malala also criticised the government for failing to provide medicine in hospitals and funds for roads in Kakamega. He opposed plans to set up two Ebola quarantine facilities in the area.
