Swedish artist Markus Krunegård held his biggest concert yet at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, filling half the venue with around 7,000 fans. The other half remained a mystery, with hints of surprises. Post-concert reviews praise his energetic performance and spontaneous interactions.

Markus Krunegård, from Norrköping, became known as a solo artist with the album “Markusevangeliet” in 2008. In February 2025, he released his tenth album and embarked on an extensive tour. On October 10, 2025, it was clear that the Stockholm concert would be his largest yet, with around 7,000 attendees at Avicii Arena, also known as Globen.

Hours before the Friday evening concert, Krunegård shared plans in an SVT interview. He would use only half the arena for new and old songs. “Secret,” he replied when asked about the other half. To the audience, he said: “They just have to go to the right half. Then it will be fucking fun.” He explained the division: “You can fill half in different ways. Either like an orange as we have it, then it’s full on one half, or you have the stage at the far end and it becomes like a half-full bathtub but then it’s empty up there.”

For those without tickets, he hinted at the afterparty: “I don’t know if I dare say where it is, it would be so damn full. But it will be in central Stockholm. It’s named almost like Globen and it’s something around there, so we’ll see if you can figure it out.” When asked if something would happen in the other half, he smiled and said: “Yes, I think so.”

Post-concert, Dagens Nyheter described it as an enjoyable “homecoming” to Stockholm. Krunegård played with the songs, talked spontaneously, and pumped up the Friday atmosphere. The only thing missing was songs in Finnish.
