From an early age, she joined a children's theater company in the late 1950s, making her professional debut in the film 'Socio de Alcoba' in 1962 at age 15. She became a prominent figure in Mexican horror cinema, with roles in films like 'Hasta el viento tiene miedo' (1968), where she played Claudia, a genre classic that had a remake in which Bonet reappeared as the character's mother. Other notable films include 'El Escapulario' (1968), 'Los jinetes de la bruja' (1966), 'Despedida de soltera' (1966), and 'Los inocentes' (1963). She appeared in around 30 films over her 40-year career, with intermittent TV roles in shows like 'Mujer, casos de la vida real' and 'Lo que la gente cuenta'. Her last project was an episode of 'Como dice el dicho' in 2010.
In her personal life, Bonet married twice. First, in the early 1970s, to actor Juan Ferrara, with whom she had two sons: Juan Carlos and Mauricio, both pursuing artistic careers.
