Michael nears 800 million dollars at global box office

The musical biopic Michael has reached 788 million dollars worldwide and is on track to surpass 800 million soon. The Devil Wears Prada 2 has also crossed the 600 million dollar mark globally. Meanwhile the new Star Wars film The Mandalorian and Grogu opened strongly overseas.

Michael added 28.5 million dollars overseas during the most recent weekend. The film has earned 468 million dollars internationally and 319 million dollars in North America so far. Universal is handling international distribution while Lionsgate manages the domestic release. Japan remains the only major market yet to open for the picture.
