The Ministry of Defence has been ranked Kenya’s top-performing government institution in the 2024/2025 performance cycle. The award was presented by President William Ruto at the inaugural National Productivity and Performance Conference.
The recognition was announced during a national performance forum in Nairobi. The Ministry of Defence, led by CS Tuya, topped the rankings for the 2024/2025 cycle.

CS Tuya said the recognition highlights the role of productivity in public service. She noted the contribution of both military personnel and civilian staff.
