A Neil Young tribute compilation has added two new volumes with contributions from multiple artists. King Princess and Draco Rosa released their tracks on July 22.
The Heart of Gold series, which began last year, now includes volumes two and three. Artists such as MJ Lenderman, Kurt Vile, Modest Mouse with Califone, and others provide covers of Neil Young songs.
King Princess performs “Helpless” while Draco Rosa covers “After the Gold Rush.” Additional participants include My Morning Jacket, Ann Wilson, Lucinda Williams, Ben Gibbard, Devendra Banhart, Los Lobos, Peter Frampton, and Edie Brickell.
The project supports California’s Bridge School, which aids children with speech and physical disabilities. Full tracklists detail songs such as “Like a Hurricane” and “Harvest Moon.”
