Netflix has renewed the animated series Devil May Cry for a third and final season. The decision brings the story of demon hunter Dante to a close after three parts.
The streamer confirmed the renewal on June 4. Showrunner Adi Shankar described the series structure as following Dante's Divine Comedy. This was always Dante's 'Divine Comedy' with guns and a red coat, Shankar said. Season 1 was Inferno. Season 2 was Purgatorio. Season 3 will be Paradiso. These three seasons make up 'The Force Edge Saga.' Season 1 debuted on April 3, 2025. Season 2 released all eight episodes on May 12, 2026. The voice cast includes Johnny Yong Bosch as Dante, Robbie Daymond as Vergil, and Scout Taylor-Compton as Lady. The series adapts the Capcom video game and follows Dante as sinister forces seek to open a portal between human and demon realms.
