Netflix unveils trailer for 'Vladimir' series starring Rachel Weisz

Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming eight-episode series 'Vladimir,' featuring Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall in a story of seduction and obsession. The adaptation of Julia May Jonas's novel premieres on March 5. It centers on a professor drawn to a new colleague, blending forbidden desires with sharp wit.

The trailer for 'Vladimir' highlights a steamy love affair between characters played by Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall. In the preview, Weisz's character, a professor, becomes fixated on Woodall's charismatic colleague, leading to blurred lines between reality and imagination.

According to the series logline, "Seduction and obsession collide in ‘Vladimir’ — a provocative limited series brimming with forbidden desires, razor-sharp wit, and charismatic, unpredictable characters. As boundaries blur and secrets simmer, she’ll risk everything to bring her most scandalous fantasies to life."

Key moments in the trailer include Weisz gazing at a shirtless Woodall, who mentions he "has a thing for crazy girls." The pair grows closer, entangled in a forbidden affair. Weisz's character touches Woodall, saying, “Sorry, I just wanted to be sure you were here in the flesh.” He responds, “As opposed to what?” She laughs: “Oh, in my dreams.”

'Vladimir' is written, created, and executive produced by Julia May Jonas, based on her novel. The cast includes regulars John Slattery, Ellen Robertson, and Jessica Henwick, with additional roles filled by Matt Walsh, Kayli Carter, Miriam Silverman, Mallori Johnson, Tattiawna Jones, and Louise Lambert.

Weisz also serves as an executive producer, alongside Sharon Horgan, Stacy Greenberg, and Kira Carstensen of Merman; Jason Winer and Jon Radler of Small Dog Picture Company; and Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. The studio is 20th Television. Directors are Berman and Pulcini for episodes 101 and 102, Francesca Gregorini for 103, 106, and 107, and Josephine Bornebusch for 104 and 105.

The series is set to stream on Netflix starting March 5.
