Ngong Road-Naivasha Road flyover completed month ahead of Talanta Stadium

Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has announced that the Ngong Road-Naivasha Road flyover is complete. The project, built by KURA, cost Ksh3.58 billion and is set to ease traffic in Nairobi.

The 800-metre elevated dual carriageway separates through-traffic from vehicles accessing Naivasha and King'ara Roads. Construction began in September 2024 and was funded by a Ksh3.58 billion loan from the Spanish Corporate International Fund.

President William Ruto had stated in February that the project would finish by June 2026. PS Omollo said the flyover will become operational soon, about four weeks before Talanta Stadium is complete.

Once open, it will cut travel times between Ngong and the Nairobi CBD and improve access to the stadium ahead of AFCON 2027. The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration is supporting traffic management and road safety during rollout.
