Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 The Glove Set for Fall Return

The Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove” is returning in Fall 2026 after first images of the retro surfaced recently. The model originally launched in 1998 as the signature shoe for Hall of Famer Gary Payton. A release price of $170 has been confirmed.

First images of the upcoming Nike Air Zoom Flight ’98 “The Glove” have now appeared following initial reports from November 2025. The white-and-black colorway is preserved along with the neoprene shroud that covers the Monkey Paw lockdown system.

The outsole design stays faithful to the original version from 1998. Nike has not yet shared official release dates beyond the planned Fall 2026 window.

Payton earned the nickname “The Glove” for his defensive play during that era of Nike basketball footwear. The model developed a dedicated following over time despite competing with larger Nike lines.
