Nike previews polka dot Air Rift for 2026 release

Nike is set to release a women's Air Rift sneaker featuring a bold polka dot pattern in Sail and Black sometime in 2026. The design updates the split-toe silhouette, first introduced in 1996, with large dots on the upper while preserving its core structure.

Nike continues to refresh its unconventional footwear offerings with official images of the women's Nike Air Rift in a “Polka Dot/Sail/Black” colorway. The SKU is listed as IR1226-100, with MSRP and exact release date yet to be confirmed, though it is anticipated for 2026. This iteration introduces a striking graphic element—oversized polka dots applied to the upper—providing visual contrast to the shoe's distinctive slip-on profile and Sail/Black scheme. The model retains its signature split-toe construction, originally inspired by feedback from barefoot Kenyan runners. Debuting in 1996, the Air Rift has remained a polarizing design due to its unique anatomy, and this version stays true to its historical roots both technically and conceptually. Hypebeast highlighted the playful print as a bold update to the longstanding silhouette.
