Oshamo announces second EP I D R I S for October release

Nigerian-born, UK-based artist Oshamo has revealed details of his upcoming second extended play album, titled I D R I S. The EP is scheduled for release on October 23, 2025, through Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa label. It follows his debut project, First of My Kind.

Oshamo, whose real name is Idris Lawal Oluwadamilare, has emerged as a notable figure in the Afrobeats scene. Based in the UK after origins in Nigeria, his music blends Afrobeats, R&B, Fuji, and hip-hop elements, capturing his personal transition from Lagos to London.

The new EP, I D R I S, serves as a successor to his initial release, First of My Kind. It promises introspective lyrics paired with melodically rich compositions, highlighting Oshamo's range and distinctive style.

Distributed via emPawa Africa, founded by Mr Eazi, the project includes seven tracks:

- Contour
- Adun
- Owo
- Shekere
- Superfuji

This announcement underscores Oshamo's growing presence in the global music landscape, building on his foundational work to offer deeper explorations of his artistic identity.
