Paige set to return to WWE at WrestleMania 42

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige, known as Saraya, has signed a new contract with WWE and is expected to make her in-ring return at WrestleMania 42 this weekend. She could replace Nikki Bella in the Women's Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way match. The news comes from reports by PWInsider.com.

Paige, whose real name is Saraya Jade-Bevis, spent 11 years with WWE from 2011 to 2022 before departing for AEW. Her in-ring career ended abruptly in 2018 following a severe neck injury sustained during a live event on December 27, 2017. WWE's medical team ruled her unfit to compete, leading her to roles as a backstage analyst and on-screen general manager, PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson reported Friday. She later joined AEW, where she wrestled for nearly two years, fulfilling her desire to return to the ring after WWE denied her request. Johnson wrote: “In a story that would have seemed unthinkable when WWE ruled her medically disqualified... Saraya Jade-Bevis... has signed to return as a wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment and is expected to return to the ring this weekend as part of Wrestlemania 42.”
