The New Orleans Pelicans have hired Jamahl Mosley as their next head coach. The team announced the move on Monday after parting ways with Willie Green following just 12 games this season.
Mosley previously coached the Orlando Magic, where he led the team through a rebuild after a 21-win season in 2021. Under his guidance, the Magic posted top-five defenses in the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons before injuries affected their performance this year. The Pelicans finished 23rd in defensive efficiency and hope Mosley can bring similar structure to their roster.
