Pierpaolo Piccioli presents Balenciaga Resort 2027 collection

Pierpaolo Piccioli has unveiled the Balenciaga Resort 2027 collection, emphasizing three-dimensional shapes inspired by the house founder Cristobal Balenciaga.

The designer focused on lightweight garments suitable for everyday wear. Examples include a white cotton poplin shirt that can be inflated at the back using a drawstring and pants with snaps along the seams to create flared hems.

Piccioli highlighted the collection's low weight, noting that even layered pieces often total less than one kilogram. A chocolate brown satin anorak unzips to reveal a citron yellow lining, while dresses combine T-shirt tops with ball skirts or layer over loose jeans.

Demi Moore previewed the upcoming haute couture line at the Cannes Film Festival in an emerald green dress with an ice blue bolero and white opera gloves. Piccioli said he aimed for street energy in the couture salon to create a sense of freedom.
