PLN explains hours-long power outages from Depok to Madura

PLN stated that power outages on 9 June 2026 in Depok, Bogor, Gresik, and parts of Madura were not caused by electricity shortages.

PLN Unit Pelaksana Pelayanan Pelanggan Madura manager Fahmi Fahresi explained that the outages depended on local system conditions, operational needs, and technical work. In a press statement in Pamekasan, East Java, on 10 June 2026, Fahmi said PLN carries out measured operational adjustments to maintain system reliability. PLN is also strengthening electricity infrastructure, conducting network maintenance, and coordinating with local governments to anticipate growing electricity demand. In the Madura region, PLN continues gradual system strengthening and network maintenance.
