Rhea Seehorn revealed that the creators of the Apple TV sci-fi series Pluribus scaled back her character Carol Sturka's suicidal thoughts after initial concerns about the portrayal.

Seehorn discussed the decision during an interview with fellow Better Call Saul alum Bob Odenkirk for Interview magazine. She explained that creator Vince Gilligan had noted the character's grief over her wife's death was central, but the level of despair risked leaving nowhere for the story to go. The pair decided to pull back to allow room for later development.
