President Droupadi Murmu appointed P. Rajavelu, V. P. Sivakolundhu and G. N. S. Rajasekaran as ministers in Puducherry on June 8, 2026.
The appointments were made on the advice of Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, according to a government notification issued on June 8. The AINRC-led NDA had won the April 9 election in the Union Territory. Chief Minister N. Rangasamy took oath for a fifth term on May 13 along with BJP Legislature Party leader A. Namassivayam and AINRC legislator Malladi Krishna Rao. Three cabinet seats had remained vacant after that swearing-in. Congress leader V. Narayanasamy had earlier questioned the delay in forming a full ministry. The new ministers will assume office upon being sworn in.
