Real Madrid have reached a verbal agreement to sign Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella in a €60 million deal. The move is set to happen after the World Cup.
Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported the agreement between the clubs and the player. The fee breaks down as a fixed €55 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
Cucurella joined Chelsea from Brighton in 2022 and has made 163 appearances, scoring nine goals while winning the Conference League and Club World Cup. He remains under contract until 2029.
Manager Jose Mourinho has identified the Spain international as his preferred option at left-back. Real Madrid already have Alvaro Carreras, Fran García and Ferland Mendy on their books, though Mendy faces a lengthy absence.
The club has also agreed terms with Denzel Dumfries from Inter and holds a verbal agreement with Ibrahima Konate, whose Liverpool contract expires this month.
